Gradient Helmholtz Coil Description
Gradient Helmholtz coils are used in the design of magnetic fields to achieve one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional gradient magnetic fields. The usual method involves making two coaxial coils connected in series, setting the best coil spacing, getting the best gradient linearity of the magnetic field axis direction, and adjusting the appropriate coil distance in order to get different sizes of gradient magnetic fields. The gradient Helmholtz coil is also capable of achieving gradients of the same magnetic field direction through combining magnetic fields.
